CBD oil is a liquid food-supplement made by dispersing hemp-derived cannabidiol in a neutral carrier (MCT) and adding light natural flavours such as mint, apple or cherry. Each Northern Lights bottle is vegan, gluten free and available in several strengths, so you can measure out just a few drops or a full dropper to suit your routine.
When you place the drops under your tongue the CBD is absorbed through tiny blood vessels in the mouth and then interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate functions like mood, sleep and recovery. Any oil that is swallowed is later digested and absorbed in the gut, providing a second, slower wave of uptake.
Do not exceed a total of 70 mg of CBD per day from all sources.
CBD is non-intoxicating so the product will not produce the euphoric high associated with cannabis. The extract contains only trace amounts of THC that are far below the level needed to cause impairment.
The World Health Organization has concluded that pure CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile and no evidence of dependence or abuse potential. Nonetheless, mild side effects such as tiredness, changes in appetite or digestive discomfort can occur, and CBD can alter how the liver processes certain medications. Always keep the CBD products out of reach of children and pets, store them in a cool dry place away from heat and light, and avoid use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical supervision unless a doctor advises otherwise, as directed on the label.
