CBD gummies are chewable, fruit-flavoured sweets that have been infused with a precisely measured serving of full-spectrum, cold-pressed hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD). Every gummy in the Northern Lights range is vegan and gluten-free.
After you chew and swallow a gummy it is digested and the CBD is absorbed through the intestine, passing first through the liver before entering the bloodstream; once circulating it interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system by modulating CB1 and CB2 receptors and several other molecular targets such as TRPV1 ion channels and 5-HT1A serotonin receptors, mechanisms thought to underpin CBD’s calming and balancing effects.
Do not exceed a total of 70 mg of CBD per day from all sources.
CBD is non-intoxicating so the product will not produce the euphoric high associated with cannabis. The extract contains only trace amounts of THC that are far below the level needed to cause impairment.
The World Health Organization has concluded that pure CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile and no evidence of dependence or abuse potential. Nonetheless, mild side effects such as tiredness, changes in appetite or digestive discomfort can occur, and CBD can alter how the liver processes certain medications. Always keep the CBD products out of reach of children and pets, store them in a cool dry place away from heat and light, and avoid use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical supervision unless a doctor advises otherwise, as directed on the label.
