CBD balm is a topical wax-based salve that blends full-spectrum hemp-derived cannabidiol with botanicals chosen for warming or cooling relief, such as menthol, camphor and essential oils.
After you rub a thin layer into the skin the plant oils carry CBD to local cannabinoid receptors in the epidermis and underlying tissue where it interacts mainly with CB2 sites involved in comfort and recovery, while the added warming or cooling agents stimulate surface nerve endings to boost circulation or create a soothing chill. Because the balm acts locally very little CBD reaches the bloodstream, giving targeted support without systemic effects.
Do not exceed a total of 70 mg of CBD per day from all sources.
CBD is non-intoxicating so the product will not produce the euphoric high associated with cannabis. The extract contains only trace amounts of THC that are far below the level needed to cause impairment.
The World Health Organization has concluded that pure CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile and no evidence of dependence or abuse potential. Nonetheless, mild side effects such as tiredness, changes in appetite or digestive discomfort can occur, and CBD can alter how the liver processes certain medications. Always keep the CBD products out of reach of children and pets, store them in a cool dry place away from heat and light, and avoid use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical supervision unless a doctor advises otherwise, as directed on the label.
